All players, partners, sponsors, parents, cricket lovers, friends and family are invited to attend the clubrooms for our first day back for season 2013/14.
With our mighty First XI taking on last year’s finalists Leopold in a one-day match at Queens Park everyone is encouraged to get down early to watch.
The rooms and bar will be open from the start of play.
Clare’s kitchen will again be open, with her usual array of awesomely tasty and healthy food available at more than reasonable prices.
All players not playing are requested to attend for a ‘meeting’ from 4.30 onwards, and to watch and support the 1s and 3s.
Dress is casual – though you are expected to wear a bad shirt. The person wearing the worst shirt will win a wonderful prize (and no, it’s not a new shirt).
One player from each team will be called upon to give a summary of the day’s play, and provide a funny anecdote. Funniest anecdote also wins a prize.
So please make the effort to get down to the rooms, and help celebrate the new season with 4 fantastic wins.
